Outdoor burning is allowed between November 1st and April 30th each year.
ADEM has summer burning regulations in place for 12 counties in Alabama including Baldwin County.
Anytime you want to burn debris piles during the allowed months, you can notify Baldwin County 911 on their non-emergency line at 251-947-4911.
If you are burning more than a quarter acre, you will have to obtain a burn permit through the Alabama Forestry Commission at 1-800-672-3076. After obtaining a permit from the Forestry Commission, please contact the Baldwin County 911 at the number above and give them your information with permit number.
When burning, you can burn limbs, leaves, grass, non-treated wood and any other natrual products free of chemicals.
DO NOT BURN HOUSE HOLD TRASH, SHINGLES, FIBERGLASS, TREATED WOOD, TIRES, WIRE, OR FURNITURE.
Any fires containing non-approved materials will have to be extinguished if we are called to your address due to a complaint.
